The Mystery (Poem)

In the course of the journey,
I tried to wrap my head around,
Around and around the wonder,
The amazement, the understanding,
The thought of how this can be all possible?

I say God, God, are you still the same,
Like the same person I thought I knew?
Its All different,
Its all encapsulating for me,
Its a mystery to me.

A mystery, I still can’t understand,
Though I call upon Your name,
Though I study Your word,
It all feels like I’m still so far,
Yet some days, it’s like I’m so near.

Its a wonder how I feel like I’m getting closer yet so far.
However the wonder of it all could be,
In Your eyes, I’m as close to You as I
Would never have imagined,
This quest of the Divine,
To redeem the lost and despised
To uplift the broken and the worthless.

What a mystery it is all,
To comprehend the great wonder of the Divine,
Ages across ages, His secret buried in His heart of gold,
Then unleashed to the world,
The dying world,
Who don’t see a thing, not even a thing,
Of this worthy sacrifice of a life of fire
Being sanctified in the hand of the Divine!
