Growing up, the gospel or Christianity seemed like the uncool thing to belong to or to do.
My environment back home, gave it a stereotyped image which seemed like it was not something to wish to belong to.
For example, the whole SU notion and the likes🙃.

From the way I perceived it, I simply thought it as a thing that I would not want to be a part of. Not until Jesus Christ changed my heart and made me a new person like He did for King Saul in 1Samuel 9 and 10.

Even after that, I still felt shame because I had not yet found people who had truly embraced the truth of God. Being in Nigeria, religion could be so confusing from The truth of The Gospel or the concept of being born again if God doesn’t help you.

Hold on, if you’re ready to condemn me, you were not in my shoes. Thank God for Jesus Christ.
Shame can be very intimidating for a newly born again individual, especially amidst those who haven’t yet received Christ. The reason is because, especially for someone who battled peer pressure, you could feel left out but the assuring thing is this, it was at that point that Jesus taught me how to stop telling lies to fit in with others and simply stay quiet if I have nothing to say. Moving forward, it has helped me to reduce telling lies and stay truthful and not seek unnecessary attention.

The major reason that The Lord wanted me to start sharing the truth of what He has been doing in my life is not to become another famous blogger but to draw you also to His side of truth because it is now time.

To be honest, the truth is there’s no reason to be ashamed of God. You and I were created to be conformed into His image and likeness and to be for nobody but for Him.

So if you’ve been dealing with shame as a believer, please embrace The Word of God and receive the truth of His word by The help of The Spirit and break forth into the true confidence He offers.

Note: Depending on how He works with you and you respond determines the degree of your healing with Him. God will help you in Jesus name. Amen.
