Episode 19: You are a citizen of Heaven!

[20]For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hello dear reader,
An amazing new week to you and yours, trust that you’re experiencing the faithfulness of God in every area of life?

All right, on to the thought on my mind and understanding provided by The Holy Spirit.

Have we really come to the knowledge that we are now citizens of heaven not just of this earth, regardless of where you come from, if saved by Christ already???

I was also plagued with this thought and realisation few days ago and decided to write on it as I feel its important to really dwell on these transforming truths from God’s word for our overall development and success as bearers of the image of His Christ.

Being a citizen of any country, as we know from either social science subject, Government or civic education teaches us that every full born citizen of any country has two core things: Rights and responsibilities.

So just use this knowledge in Christ, as a child of God through Jesus, you and I have rights and responsibilities tied to our identities.
And I have realised that as part of God’s plan from the start, was to dominate earth for His Glory,
He intended that we as humans do this (Gen 1:26-28), by His power and Spirit not in our own strength [More reasons for Jesus].

So I believe this can set someone free today to live more intentionally and freely as a child of Christ in a crooked and perverse world.

God’s character and value system should by now define our very essence of being in all we do, if truly one has encountered Christ.

So ask yourself, am I truly acting more like Christ in all that I do?

May God help us all as we answer those life changing questions 🙏 in Jesus Name. Amen.
